We are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for a Temporary Warehouse Officer based in Citywest, Co. Dublin. This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the organisation’s central warehouse and adjoining office. The role supports critical scientific, operational, and research activities through effective coordination of equipment, logistics, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain facilities and grounds to a high safety and operational standard.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and couriers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Process purchase orders, manage procurement activities, and maintain asset registers.
  • Coordinate the delivery and distribution of equipment, workwear, and supplies.
  • Support recruitment-related logistics in collaboration with HR.
  • Implement and manage a ticketing/task system for internal requests.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, audits, and stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with OGP procurement and health and safety standards.
  • Oversee contractor coordination and facility service schedules.
  • Collaborate with research and technical teams to meet operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field is required.
  • A full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage with multiple different stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience in equipment and inventory management.
  • Understanding of internal customer service and logistics needs.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and warehouse systems.
  • Organised, reliable, and solutions-focused.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience developing or working with a task/ticket system is desired.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations is desired.
