Technical Service Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on, knowledgeable Technical Service Engineer to join our Heating & Ventilation team. You will support customers and installers with technical help for products like heat pumps, ventilation systems, and electric heating. This is a great role for someone who enjoys solving problems and working with renewable energy solutions.

Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Dublin / Dunleer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support sales and customer service teams with technical advice
  • Handle customer support requests quickly and professionally
  • Work with service engineers to fix customer issues
  • Make sure products are installed and set up correctly
  • Help size heating systems and prepare documents
  • Keep clear records and create reports
  • Visit sites to support and train customers and installers
  • Run training sessions for new and existing engineer
  • Help with spare parts and product specifications
  • Attend site meetings when needed

Skills:

  • Qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building services
  • Good understanding of heating and electrical systems (heat pump experience is a plus)
  • Strong problem-solver with great attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional with a positive attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Able to manage time well and meet deadlines
  • Full driver’s licence

Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the midlands. You will be a technically-capable surveyor who will manage client meetings, expectations and negotiations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading Client meetings, expectations and negotiations
  • Taking costings / measurements from screen
  • Preparing and managing accurate project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports
  • Overseeing tendering and procurement processes, ensuring value for money
  • Administering contracts, including negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring project progress, identify variations, and ensure cost efficiency
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and provide financial recommendations
  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior client-facing Quantity Surveying role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying minimum, professional registration desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, MS Excel, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and 3D models for structural engineering projects
  • Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret design concepts and transform them into accurate technical drawings
  • Review, modify, and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and project specifications
  • Maintain a strong understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction techniques
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality drawings
  • Conduct quality control checks on drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, specifications, and design calculations

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as an AutoCAD Technician in the structural engineering field
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software (Revit, Civil 3D, Fusion 360etc.)
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and the ability to interpret engineering designs
  • Experience working with building codes and industry standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing production
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D modeling tools is a plus
