Assistant Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant here at Osborne!
Our Client based in Co. Monaghan is seeking an accounting professional to join their team to assist with managing the financial operation of the organization.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Managing Director and will work alongside their Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to Trial Balance
  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable & Receivable and all subcontractor payments. Revenue returns for P30, VAT and RCT.
  • Prepare payment runs for review and ensure they are in line with the cashflow forecasts
  • Reconciling bank accounts.
  • Data entry
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Raise invoices.
  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Chasing up outstanding payments
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Accounting Qualification. (ATT, ATI, ACCA , CIMA OR CPA)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in the construction industry an advantage.

Fixed Term Contract 

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator on a fixed term contract for our client based in Co.Monaghan!
This role is based fully onsite and access to your own transport is required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Processing of invoices for verification and payment
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparation of accounts payable reports
  • Communication with Finance team regarding supplier statements and invoices that are due
  • Sales Invoicing
  • Dealing with pre sale enquiries
  • Preparation and submission of Interstaat returns
  • Ad hoc admin duties

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Accountancy Qualification desirable
  • Previous Accounts experience or experience in a similar position
  • Good Organisational Skills with excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent IT Skills – Proficient use of Microsoft Excel/ Word
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Good communication and Time Management Skills
