Fully Qualified Accountant

Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Practice Accountant to join their team. You will manage multiple portfolios for clients, support junior accountants in their growth and provide tax and financial advice. This role has room to grow within the team 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements and management accounts
  • Experience of leading both audits and accounts assignments from planning to completion
  • Experience in delegating and supervising team members on audit assignments
  • Staff training and supervision
  • Liaising with clients and advise clients on financial and tax matters
  • Liaising with Revenue Commissioners
  • Manage client relationships and ensure top-level service.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties as required
  • Contribute to the company's accounting technology strategy and oversee the introduction of new accounting solutions

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or similar)
  • Proven experience working in an accountancy practice, preferably with client portfolio management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102
  • Knowledge of computerized accounts packages (e.g., Sage Accounts Production, Surf, Xero,)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work effectively as part of a team

General Operative

Job Summary:
The Panel Room Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the animal feed plant. The technician is responsible for overseeing the control systems and ensuring the efficient functioning of the plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering quality and process flow, with experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time & Permanent 
  • Hourly Rate: €16+ 
  • Shift: Day/Night/Rotating (6am to 2pm/ 2pm to 10pm /10pm to 6am)

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the control systems in the panel room to ensure smooth functioning of the animal feed plant.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise in the control systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing plant performance.
  • Collaborate with the plant operators, maintenance team, and supervisors to ensure effective communication and coordination during routine operations, maintenance, and plant shutdowns.
  • Monitor process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels, and take appropriate actions to maintain them within specified limits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of operational data, equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or abnormalities.

 
Qualifications:

  • Leaving certificate or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in industrial automation or control systems is preferred.
  • Diploma/degree in electrical or mechanical engineering an advantage
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills to identify and resolve control system issues promptly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work a three shift work cycle with 24/5 working week

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to ensure the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) through robust controls, delivering safe products that meet all customer specifications. The successful candidate will lead the QA team and take ownership of food safety, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the QMS is implemented and maintained effectively across the plant.
  • Lead and manage the QA team, providing direction, support, and development.
  • Prepare for and lead all regulatory, third-party (BRC), and customer audits, FPRs, and site visits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP, and Quality Management Systems in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Chair and drive HACCP/TACCP team meetings and lead the Food Safety Culture Plan.
  • Ensure all product and environmental testing is carried out according to schedule, including systems for pathogen control.
  • Maintain customer-specific standards and close any compliance gaps.
  • Oversee supplier approval systems and maintain accurate raw material specifications and databases.
  • Support the business during any food safety incidents or crises.
  • Drive performance across the QA team, including calibration, microbiological, shelf life, and nutritional testing programs.
  • Act as department representative at internal, supplier, and customer meetings.
  • Communicate relevant quality and food safety matters to departments including Production and Maintenance.
  • Manage internal auditing systems to uphold hygiene and GMP standards, ensuring timely corrective action where needed.
  • Trend and analyse QA data (e.g. lab results, complaints, audit outcomes) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects of pest control on site.
  • Ensure technical compliance for export load certifications to third countries.
  • Take on additional projects or continuous improvement initiatives as directed.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in a food-related discipline (or significant food industry experience).
  • Proven experience in product quality systems, with a strong track record.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC, customer standards, and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and make informed decisions.
  • Highly motivated and proactive approach.

Our client is seeking a maintenance planner, in Ballyragget, Kilkenny. Previous experience in the Dairy Industry an advantage but not necessary. previous experience in an engineering and/or electrical environment is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders based of production run times and plant availability
  • Liaise with the stores department and ensure parts are available for any upcoming work planned
  • Control and manage the maintenance holiday rota
  • Create SOPs based on site equipment and machinery
  • Adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work. Ensure any emergency work required is captured and logged according.
  • Assist and support maintenance manager
  • Serve as a liaison between maintenance and operations
  • Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management (work orders, SLAs, Calibration orders etc…)
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors
  • Prepare preventive maintenance plans that are aligned with the organization’s maintenance goals
  • Control and manage weekly reports and KPIs as outlined by the maintenance manager
  • Ensure the site and maintenance function is audit ready at all times
  • Ensure any job scoped is safe to carry out and the team is operating with a safety-first mindset

Skills required:

  • Knowledge in electrical/mechanical functions is required
  • Previous experience in an engineering and/or electrical environment is required
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office preferred
