Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Covering NI but headquartered in Bangor
Salary: €40-50k DOE
Our client is a leading distributor of medical and surgical equipment and supply an extensive range of high-quality disposable and capital equipment from some of the most innovative brands within the healthcare industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive equipment maintenance and troubleshooting on a range of equipment including:
- HD Camera Systems and related equipment
- Diathermy/Electrosurgery units, Argon Plasma Coagulation units
- Warm-air patient warming units
- Surgical Laser units
- Patient couches and ancillary accessories
- And other equipment supplied or serviced by the group.
Key Responsibilities
The Field Service Engineer will report to the Technical Service Manager and be responsible for:
- Planned preventative maintenance to above listed equipment
- Attending reactive breakdown callout to equipment as described above.
- Complete repair work on site in hospital
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Bench repairs in workshop
- Customer and sales support
- Travel and overnight stays when necessary
Qualification & Skills
- Qualification in Electro/mechanical/electronic engineering or equivalent
- Electromechanical field service engineering experience essential
- Experience in customer communication and liaison
- Customer focused, well organized, and ability to manage and expand the technical service department
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills, organisational and planning skills
- Full driving license
