The Osborne Tech and Eng team are currently recruiting for the role of Steel department operator , to join our client operating in the construction sector. The successful incumbent will work with all site and management personnel to ensure all company policies, processes and health and safety legislation is adhered to on all sites
Requirements:
Experience in a busy manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment
Ability to read technical drawings
Strong leadership skills
Must have a high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills
Competencies required:
Proactive with an ability to work on own initiative and to take the lead where appropriate
Management of day to day production, build weekly schedule and ensure its adhered to
To communicate with planner/supervisor and other personnel in the department
Identify tooling issues that may arise
Maintain a clean working area at all times
Preparation and ongoing reviews of SOPs
Follow health and safety requirements and liaise with the health and safety representative
Has well developed influencing skills with an ability to communicate strategies and to gain support
Key functions:
Develop and conduct audits, toolbox talks and other training activities
Develop, maintain and ensure implementation of an internal Safety Management System
