Key Responsibilities:
Cylinder Handling & Processing
Receive, sort, and inspect incoming gas cylinders for damage or defects
Prepare cylinders for filling, including valve checks and labelling
Operate filling equipment to fill cylinders with industrial, medical, or specialty gases
Ensure correct gas type, pressure, and labelling before dispatch
Quality & Safety Compliance
Follow strict health, safety, and environmental guidelines (including HSE regulations)
Conduct visual inspections and leak tests on cylinders
Ensure compliance with BOC policies and relevant UK legislation (e.g. pressure systems safety regulations)
Report faults, hazards, and incidents promptly
Operational Duties
Maintain accurate records of cylinder filling and stock movements
Use IT systems or handheld devices for tracking inventory (where required)
Support stock control and yard organisation
Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Equipment & Maintenance
Operate machinery and equipment safely (e.g. forklifts, conveyors, filling rigs)
Perform basic maintenance checks and report equipment issues
Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free
Key Skills & Competencies
