Our client is looking for General Operatives to join their team in the Kilkenny Waterford area. The position will be a rotating shift of  7am – 3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm – 7am.

The role will involve the running and cleaning of our computerised processing plant. The plant processes fallen animals and offal to produce meat and bone meal and tallow. The operative will assist the plant supervisor. Duties include plant washing and general cleaning. The operative will also be trained to run the computer system which will require operating the production line when the supervisor is unavailable. General work to include painting and assisting maintenance will also be required from time to time.
This is an automated site

  • Full PPE gear provided.
  • Forklift training will be required. The Company will provide.
  • Operative must shower after finishing the shift.
  • Additional H&S training courses will be provided.
  • Good Communication required.
  • Pension scheme on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high level of personal appearance in line with Java Republic dress policy & general hygiene policy, always wearing Java Republic uniform in the course of duties.
  • Any other duties relevant and related to the post.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge and a proven record of working in a warehouse.
  • Required experience of at least 2 years in a warehouse operating environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office Suites, such as Excel and Word are beneficial.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team, flexibility is key.
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Holder of a Current Clean Category B Driving Licence (required).
  • Valid Counterbalance Licence (preferred) PPT licence (preferred) and Bendi licence (preferred).
  • Methodical approach to work with the ability to work in a quick and efficient manner.
