Part-Qualified Accountant / Accounts Assistant

We’re delighted to be working with a high-performing events management company which is seeking to add an experienced and ambitious Accounts Assistant to its growing team based in South-East Dublin. 
As a permanent member of this innovative and agile company, your role will be of critical importance to the smooth running of financial operations and adherence to budgetary criteria. You will also have superb learning opportunities as well as dealing with day-to-day accounts responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgetary responsibility
  • Receive, process & obtain sign off approval on all AP invoices
  • Cost invoices to appropriate P&L cost centre
  • Post invoices, prepare invoices for weekly payment run
  • Set up payments & expense payments
  • Post and cost company credit card
  • Ensure VAT receipts on file for all expenditure
  • Post AR cash on a daily basis
  • Follow up on unpaid AR as necessary
  • Assist in preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns, quarterly VIES returns, and Annual G46 VAT return
  • Assist CFO in preparation of monthly management accounts, and with ad-hoc issues
  • Prepare supplier set up forms, liaising with third party providers and suppliers as necessary

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification / Currently completing ACCA or similar
  • Min of 4 years’ accounts experience
  • Very strong technical accounting and IT skills with proficiency in Excel & Xero
  • High level of accuracy and work ethos
  • Excellent organisational skills/ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and take direction accurately
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Trustworthy and discrete with confidential corporate information
