Tax Trainee

Location: Dublin 3
Salary: €30,000
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Friday)
Annual Leave: 23 days

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Trainee to join our client’s team in Dublin 3. This is a permanent position offering excellent career progression, a strong learning environment, and a comprehensive study package aligned with the Irish Tax Institute training programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a collaborative tax team servicing a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.
Gain hands-on experience in all major tax heads including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, and Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT).
Assist with tax compliance, planning, and advisory assignments.
Participate in a structured 3 – 3½ year training contract with full support for Irish Tax Institute (ITI) Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) exams.
Engage in a firm-wide Mentor Programme to support your professional and personal development.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented working environment while developing both technical and client-facing skills.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Business, Accountancy, Law, or a related discipline.
Intention to pursue Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification through the Irish Tax Institute.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and a team-focused attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
