Production Manager – Life Science

Osborne is currently recruiting a Production Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing Life Sciences organisation based in Mayo. This senior role will lead the scale-up and day-to-day management of production operations and is best suited to candidates with experience in highly regulated environments such as Biopharma or Contract Research Organisations (CROs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand production operations to support business growth
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations team
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Oversee end-to-end production delivery (on time, within budget, to client standards)
  • Maintain excellence across quality, hygiene, cost, and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to strategic planning, financial forecasting, budgeting, and grant applications
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operational leadership role within Life Sciences / Biopharma / CRO
  • Degree-qualified in Science, Engineering, or Business
  • Proven ability to manage both production operations and executive-level reporting
  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of regulated production environments, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and commercial awareness

Operations Manager

A forward-thinking biotechnology company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the next phase of its growth and global expansion. With a strong focus on innovation and scientific excellence, the company is scaling its operations to meet increasing international demand for its specialised products used across the life sciences sector.

This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and based at the company’s headquarters in West of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and expansion of the company’s production operations to support growth targets.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations team.
  • Ensure that all processes are carried out in accordance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee production and logistics to ensure delivery targets, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality outcomes across all areas.
  • Provide strategic input to support long-term business planning and global expansion initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, both technical and commercial.
  • Strategic mindset with solid planning and business acumen.
