Position Overview:
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a small Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, and be able to work independently using their own initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling payments, and resolving discrepancies
Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure precise transaction recording
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with all legal, fiscal, and best practice frameworks
Collaborate with other team members to support financial decision-making
Processing weekly and monthly payroll
Accurately posting Tax
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper
Irish Payroll processing experience also a must
Ability to bring accounts to trial-balance a plus
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Ideal Candidate:
SAGE experience would be an advantage
Prior accounts admin experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel
Excellent numerical skills with strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills in English
The Role:
Daily maintenance of bookkeeping on Sage to include full posting of all Banks/Credit cards.
Purchase invoices along with raising sales invoices as required by Project Manager’s (PMS).
Monthly reconciliation of suppliers listing to supplier statements.
Raising Sales pro-forma
Calculating rates
Allocate units against Sales Invoices
Complete worksheets
Allocate remittances against customer accounts
Ad hoc duties when required
