Maintenance Manager
Salary: €70,000 – €75,000 (DOE)
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare (Fully on-site)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (flexibility required, including occasional weekend cover)

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role focused on driving plant efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement.

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will lead a multifunctional maintenance team, ensuring all plant, equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies, minimising downtime and supporting production through effective engineering solutions.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, team management capability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures and preventative maintenance programmes (PPM)
  • Drive plant efficiency and reduce downtime through effective problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Lead, develop and performance-manage the maintenance team
  • Collaborate with production to ensure delivery of site schedules and resolve recurring issues
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant machinery
  • Manage maintenance budgets, costs and resource planning
  • Monitor utilities usage (electricity, gas, water, refrigeration, steam) and drive cost efficiencies
  • Manage spare parts inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships
  • Oversee contractor management, ensuring compliance with safety and procedural requirements
  • Ensure all statutory maintenance, calibration and compliance activities are completed
  • Track and report on KPIs including downtime, maintenance performance and OEE
  • Maintain high standards across safety, environmental, quality and hygiene compliance

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role
  • Electrical qualification with strong industrial experience (mechanical knowledge is advantageous)
  • Proven track record in delivering preventative maintenance programmes (PPM)
  • Strong team leadership and people management experience
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs and maintenance performance
  • Contractor management and supplier coordination experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles in practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with PLCs, controls systems and automated equipment is desirable
  • Exposure to Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools is desirable
  • Project management experience is desirable

We are recruiting a Quality Manager on behalf of one of our well-known clients based in Naas, to lead the Quality function within a fast-paced food production environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance across the site.

The Role:
Reporting to the Plant Technical Manager, this role will lead the Quality team and take ownership of the site’s Quality and Food Safety Management Systems. You will ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer and third-party standards while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and business processes.
This role requires strong leadership capability, technical expertise and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, coach and develop a team of quality professionals
Influence decision-making to ensure food safety and quality standards are prioritised
Collaborate cross-functionally and represent Quality at senior management level
Provide expert guidance on food safety, legislation and best practices

Quality Systems & Compliance
Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
Lead HACCP and TACCP programmes, ensuring robust food safety and defence systems
Ensure compliance with BRC standards, customer requirements and regulatory bodies
Manage internal audit programmes and lead external audits

Operational Excellence
Drive plant-wide quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Monitor KPIs, analyse trends and implement corrective actions
Oversee non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective actions
Ensure effective product traceability, testing programmes and shelf-life management

Customer & Supplier Management
Act as the key contact for customer quality queries, audits and complaints
Maintain product specifications and quality standards across all products
Support business development through technical expertise and customer engagement
Oversee supplier approval, auditing and performance management

Training & Development
Champion food safety and quality training across the site (HACCP, hygiene, allergens, etc.)
Build a strong quality culture through continuous development and engagement

Experience & Skills:
A diploma or higher qualification in Food Science or a related discipline is required
HACCP certification is essential
Lead Auditor qualification is desirable
3–5+ years’ experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality role within the food industry
Strong experience working with retailers and regulatory bodies
In-depth knowledge of BRC Global Food Standards and food safety systems
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong understanding of HACCP principles
Experience managing audits (internal, customer and regulatory)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting tools

This is an ongoing temporary assignment with a view to permanency.
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and water treatment. They must also have a full clean driving licence as a company van will be supplied.

Details:

  • Hours – 6:30am-3/4pm

  • Setting up pressure washer or portable generator in commercial buildings
  • Setting up hoses
  • Using a wet vac

We here at Osborne are hiring a Senior Commercial and Procurement Manager on behalf of our client, the UK & Ireland's largest provider of industrial, welding and specialist gases. This role will be based across 2 sites – Kildare and D12.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years’ experience with an emphasis in procurement and strong commercial experience in any given industry. You will be dealing with contract negotiations, managing teams, P&L’s and will have led projects.

Key responsibilities:
Procurement

  • Responsible for the contract negotiation with Key TMM Stakeholders of Chemical and Gas warehousing in Ireland and Consolidated warehousing in the US and Asia
  • Reports to productivity team to identify new processes
  • DRI for all new service suppliers to TMM from contractual perspective
  • Implementation of existing and new TMM Vendors T&C's
  • Ensures supplier contracts align with customer contracts
  • Develop strategic partnerships with the OEM’s and Suppliers that complement the TMM service to deliver a best-in-class product and service
  • Manages the request for quotation (RFQ) process with the TMM suppliers
  • Accountable for the annual freight negotiations with shipping lines
  • Works with legal to manage any vendor liability claims and the legal review of contracts for vendors
  • Responsible for the contractual performance of our International Consolidation Centres in the United States and Asia
  • Identify and implement cost improvement targets as well as driving cost improvements/deferrals of vendors
  • Provides regular (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) insight and reporting on vendor performance management
  • Acts as a point of contact for queries from vendors, which includes any payment queries

Commercial

  • Develops annual Budget submission for all TMM Business
  • Responsible for contract negotiation with Customer for TMM
  • Acts as a point of contact for queries from customers, which includes resolving any disputed charges
  • Periodic updates and reviews with customer key Commercial contacts
  • Negotiate annual logistics contracts with international ocean freight providers
  • Builds and produces cost and sales analysis for the TMM Director to review in line with the company’s profit expectations
  • Manages the request for quotation (RFQ) process with the TMM customers
  • Develop strategic partnerships with the customer that complement the TMM service to deliver a best-in- class product and services
  • Works with legal to manage any customer liability claims and the legal review of contracts of customers
  • Reports on P&L analysis for and by the TMM geography
  • Design and negotiates service level agreements on any new business
  • Accountable for the annual freight negotiations with customers
  • Design and report on the annual SCQI (Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement) programme to TMM Director and Customers
  • Design and negotiate service level agreements on new TMM business
  • Provides regular (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) insight and reporting on TMM performance management with the customer
  • Delivers an effective cost improvement program to the customer in line with the contract in place
  • Generates annual costs and sales report for business unit submission across the TMM business

Productivity & Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies, leads, and delivers strategic business initiatives across the TMM business
  • Identify and be accountable for efficiencies and productivity improvement projects within TMM
  • Engage and align with the Ireland Business Improvement Manager to drive key projects and contribute to the overall Ireland strategy
  • Engage and collaborate with the wider Linde business to understand the synergies and best practices which may be applicable to the TMM business

 
Requirements:

  • You MUST have a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain qualification or the significant working experience within a similar role
  • Good level of financial and commercial acumen to understand and interpret business scenarios, effectively evaluate market dynamics, and make informed, financially savvy decisions that drive growth and profitability
  • Experience with managing a team; engaging, developing, and inspiring them to deliver at their highest capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Passion and experience of implementing continuous improvement
  • Supply chain management qualification would be a benefit
  • Work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
