Responsibilities:
Electrical CAD Design:

  • Create detailed electrical designs of BMS panels using CAD software
  • Develop comprehensive wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.

BMS Panel Design:

  • Design and size MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), transformers, and 24V Power Supplies for BMS panels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop I/O (Input/Output) wiring diagrams for BMS panels.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate I/O components seamlessly

Technical Documentation:

  • Prepare technical documentation, including panel schedules, bill of materials, and equipment specifications.

Collaboration:

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Design or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical CAD Technician with a focus on BMS panel design.
  • Strong knowledge of wiring I/O, sizing MCBs, transformers, and 24V Power Supplies

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, WSCAD etc.) for electrical design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Solves, in conjunction with the Quality department, customer related problems/issues as needed.
  • In conjunction with approved vendors, research new processes and/or systems for maintenance/manufacture of equipment and implement new processes and systems as developed under the direction of the Operations Manager.
  • Instructs others, formally or informally, regarding manufacturing related skills or knowledge and assist in the training of employees on new processes or systems introduced to the company.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct manager.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Level 6 engineering qualification in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a maintenance related role.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/software qualification plus time served in a Plastic-processing environment would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of PLC Programming and electrical work.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings is essential.
  • Some experience supporting a high-volume manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Some understanding of the injection molding process.
  • Previous experience working on technically challenging applications would be an advantage (i.e.) medical, tight tolerance work.
  • Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and external contractors.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain environmental management and monitoring programmes;
  • Maintain and improve ISO50001 Energy Management System on site;
  • Assist with the maintenance of ISO14001 Environmental Management System on site;
  • Complete site energy/environmental audits to identify opportunities for improvement and improve sites resilience to climate change.
  • Develop learning opportunities and training plans for staff and manage delivery of environmental weeks on site.
  • Liaise with the group environmental team on upcoming sustainability projects and strategies.

The ideal Candidate will have or demonstrate:

  • A relevant 3rd level Environmental/Engineering qualification (preferably B.Sc.B.E. degree in engineering) or similar
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • A good knowledge of environmental scientific techniques, managing large amounts of data, report writing; and legislation
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficient use of MS Office suite, particularly excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English
