Shift Pattern: Four-cycle shifts (15 shifts per month, including days and nights)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Shift Supervisors to start, stop, and troubleshoot machines, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Perform regular machine servicing and execute technical tasks to maintain optimal production performance.
  • Step in as cover for the Shift Supervisor when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and new product introduction projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, upholding the highest standards of safety and housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, GMP requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Polymer Processing is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems in high-volume manufacturing, hold a relevant qualification in one of these fields, and/or have specialised training and industrial experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Availability to work a four-cycle shift pattern, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Technical Supervisors, the Process Technician will:
  • Execute equipment setups and tool changeovers as part of production runs.
  • Monitor process start-ups and oversee process performance during runs to meet production targets.
  • Take ownership of process escalations, troubleshooting and resolving issues using a systematic root-cause approach.
  • Support the development and improvement of existing processes through advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A strong knowledge of engineering, mechanics, and/or electronics, with the ability to apply a scientific and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an advantage.
  • Excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in working hours, as required.

Role Summary:

  • Manage and coordinate element on multiple projects on various production sites for the duration of projects.

  • Verification, commissioning and handover of engineering systems to end users.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A 3rd Level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in a Project Engineering role within Engineering Project Management functions with experience working on medium and large-scale capital projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project.
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills.
  • Certified qualification in Project Management preferable.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion.
  • Proven budget management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience of strong organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and be willing to travel to production sites throughout Ireland as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the control systems in the panel room to ensure smooth functioning of the animal feed plant.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise in the control systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing plant performance.
  • Collaborate with the plant operators, maintenance team, and supervisors to ensure effective communication and coordination during routine operations, maintenance, and plant shutdowns.
  • Monitor process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels, and take appropriate actions to maintain them within specified limits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of operational data, equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or abnormalities.

 
Qualifications:

  • Leaving certificate or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in industrial automation or control systems is preferred.
  • Diploma/degree in electrical or mechanical engineering an advantage
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills to identify and resolve control system issues promptly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Advisory Role: Act as health and safety advisor, providing expert guidance and support to colleagues at all levels.

EHS Compliance

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years’+ experience in EHS with at least two years in a managerial role.
  • Third level qualification in EHS.
  • Demonstrate CPD – IOSH / IEMA / IIRSM.
  • Driving licence required.
  • Knowledge of design, implementation and operation of ISO 14001 and 45001 management system standards.
  • Able to challenge and influence at all levels in an objective and constructive manner.

  • Produce accurate budget estimates, review contractor progress claims, and assess variations.
  • Engage in quality audits, peer reviews, and technical workshops to promote continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends by attending seminars, CPDs, and exhibitions.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare reports, and provide budget information to project teams.
  • Review mechanical service submittals for compliance with project objectives.
  • Lead design aspects of projects, including resolving technical queries, services coordination, and managing timely delivery of updates.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, depending on experience.
  • Assist with tender bids, technical report writing, and preparing budget estimates.
  • Report project performance to Associate Directors/Directors.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Ideally 5+ years’ design experience with an engineering consultancy.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver projects in line with building regulations and design standards.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Client-facing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems design, including:
  • Soils & waste, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning, space heating, and cooling.
  • Building automation and environmental designs in compliance with Irish regulations.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Magicad, and 3D energy modelling tools (e.g., IES – preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and current design guides, building regulations, EN standards, and the BCAR process.
  • Experience working within ISO standards and project-specific scopes.
  • Full clean European Driver’s License (or in the process of obtaining one).
  • Proof of right to work in Ireland:
  • EU/EEA nationals: Proof of right to work in Ireland required.
  • Non-EU/EEA nationals: Valid permission to work and reside in Ireland is mandatory.
