Here at Osborne, we've partnered with a superbly located, growing General Practice Solicitor's firm based in Naas, Co.Kildare, which is seeking to add an ambitious, talented Legal Executive to its team.
The successful candidate for this role will provide client-facing services alongside the solicitors of a fast-paced commercial and residential conveyancing practice, along with assisting with legal advice and guidance in relation to probate matters.

Salary: DOE
Hours: 9am-5:30pm Mon to Fri
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Candidate Characteristics:

  • University graduate in Law or a related subject. 
  • 3+ years' Experience in a similar Legal Support role, with a focus on commercial/residential conveyancing, wills & probate.
  • Good working knowledge of Capital Gains Tax and Capital Acquisitions Tax regimes in Ireland. 
  • Demonstrable experience of using Revenue and other online systems for the searching and submission of relevant information.
  • Strong all-round IT skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and communicative skills.

As a vital part of this fast-paced legal organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the correct preparation and organisation of legal documents and correspondence in a deadline dependent environment. Our client’s team is committed to providing exceptional legal services, tailored to the unique needs of clients.

Hours: 15:00 to 00:00 (Mon to Thurs); 13:30 to 22:00 (Fri)
Location: Fully Remote

Role and responsibilities
As part of this evening team, you will provide essential administrative support to all practice groups in the following areas:

Document Production

  • Creating and amending complex legal documentation, correspondence, presentations and reports, including the preparation of structure charts and the fast and accurate transcription of digital dictations.

Styling and Proofreading

  • Ensuring that documents are produced according to the organisation’s style guide
  • Proofreading work to ensure it meets the high standards set by our client
  • Converting documents (Microsoft Word ? secure PDFs) 

Training

  • Helping to onboard and develop skills of other members of the team.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Word Processing software and technology.

Skillset Required

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Legal Secretary or Document Production Specialist
  • Excellent IT Skills, with a focus on MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF tools.
  • The ability to maintain outstanding attention to detail under pressure.
  • Excellent prioritization, organisation and communication skills.
  • Typing speed of 60+WPM

Role and Responsibilities:

As part of this fast-moving team, you will be responsible for a caseload of complicated clinical litigation matters to include personal injury and third-party property damage risks and claims in connection with multiple state organisations.

In this varied role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with a client base extending from policing organisations, health bodies, the armed forces, and rehabilitation centres, to parliament members, legal entities and educational establishments.
The team also deals with certain aspects of Tribunals of Inquiry as part of its work.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

· Qualified as a solicitor in Ireland with a minimum of 7 years PQE, ideally in the public healthcare sector.

· Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures with a focus on keeping up to date with any changes or developments in the applicable law.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team.

· Adaptability, openness to change, and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to improve working practices.

· Experience of litigation arising from catastrophic injuries and cerebral palsy will be advantageous.
