Senior Healthcare Litigation Solicitor

A major Irish public-sector body is seeking to add a senior solicitor to its team with a remit extending across a wide range of bodies involved in the provision of public services.
As an integral member of this busy legal team, you will play a pivotal role in dealing with complex clinical litigation cases and inquests.
Our client’s team is committed to providing exceptional legal services, tailored to the unique needs of its clients.


Salary: DOE
Hours: 9am to 5:30pm (Mon to Fri)
Location: Dublin 1 (Hybrid)


Role and Responsibilities:

As part of this fast-moving team, you will be responsible for a caseload of complicated clinical litigation matters to include personal injury and third-party property damage risks and claims in connection with multiple state organisations.

In this varied role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with a client base extending from policing organisations, health bodies, the armed forces, and rehabilitation centres, to parliament members, legal entities and educational establishments.
The team also deals with certain aspects of Tribunals of Inquiry as part of its work.


The ideal candidate will have:

· Qualified as a solicitor in Ireland with a minimum of 7 years PQE, ideally in the public healthcare sector.

· Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures with a focus on keeping up to date with any changes or developments in the applicable law.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team.

· Adaptability, openness to change, and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to improve working practices.

· Experience of litigation arising from catastrophic injuries and cerebral palsy will be advantageous.
