Inventory Accountant

Join a leading medical device company based in Wicklow as an Inventory Accountant and become an integral part of a dynamic team. This is an exclusive opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in inventory accounting, with previous exposure to manufacturing being essential. Experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry will be a distinct advantage.

Full-time permanent position.
70-80k DOE.

Responsibilities:

Record Transactions: Maintain accurate records of inventory-related transactions and update inventory ledgers.
Audits and Analysis: Perform daily audits and analysis of inventory reports to ensure accuracy.
Inventory Valuation: Ensure accurate inventory valuations and perform cost analysis.
Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain reconciliations for inventory accounts.
Discrepancy Resolution: Analyse and identify inventory discrepancies, and resolve issues.
Collaboration: Work with purchasing and operations departments to manage inventory needs.
Control Procedures: Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
Financial Reporting: Provide input for monthly and annual financial reports.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and participate in audits as needed.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven work experience as an inventory accountant or in a similar role within manufacturing.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge: Understanding of inventory control procedures and financial regulations.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and inventory management systems.
