Senior AutoCad Technician

As a Senior AutoCAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and management of detailed AutoCAD drawings for structural engineering projects. You will work closely with structural engineers and design teams to create precise, high-quality technical drawings for construction projects, ranging from commercial buildings to large-scale infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for a technically proficient AutoCAD specialist with a strong background in structural engineering design

Location: Kildare
Salary: € – Negotiable for right candidate – circa €70000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and 3D models for structural engineering projects
  • Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret design concepts and transform them into accurate technical drawings
  • Review, modify, and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and project specifications
  • Maintain a strong understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction techniques
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality drawings
  • Conduct quality control checks on drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, specifications, and design calculations

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as an AutoCAD Technician in the structural engineering field
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software (Revit, Civil 3D, Fusion 360etc.)
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and the ability to interpret engineering designs
  • Experience working with building codes and industry standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing production
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D modeling tools is a plus
