Osborne is delighted to be sourcing for an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Loans Officer in Waterford.
 
Key Purpose:

  • The Loans Officer will assist in the growth of the loan book in line with the company's Strategic Plan and Operational business goals, while if not already, working towards becoming QFA approved and have full APA Loans.
  • The successful candidate will ensure a high level of loan processing is achieved and will maintain the high levels of customer satisfaction while delivering a best-in-class standard of customer service.
  • The Loans Officer will be responsible for promoting services, will have an approachable and professional manner and will work effectively to ensure member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Comply with all lending, legislative and regulatory policies
  • Assess loan applications to determine the ability to repay in accordance with Lending Policy
  • Approve applications that fall within the relevant loan approval category.
  • Experience in SME and/or Agri loans would be beneficial
  • Completion of various administrative tasks that constitute a loan application, in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary conditions are complied with prior to loan issue.
  • Assist with the assessment of loan applications as an individual and as part of the wider
  • Credit/Lending team to ensure that the loan approval process is robust.
  • Promote loans in conjunction with the Marketing & Development team.
  • Liaise with other staff to recognise lending opportunities.

Benefits:

  • Salary: Depending on experience: €30–34k

Forklift Training Instructor

Osborne Recruitment have teamed up with a local company who offer complete logistics solutions for all supply chain requirements. Our client is seeking a Forklift Training Instructor to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Location: Waterford
Salary: DOE

Key Responsibilities

Training

  • Overseeing and supervising the training of forklifts, reach trucks, magaziners (VNA’s), pallet trucks, and floor washers.
  • Expand your skill set by taking relevant courses for future training to employees.
  • Responsible for creating training schedules and assigning jobs and training to other instructors.
  • Create and maintain refresher training plans 12 months in advance.
  • Ensure training is complete as per SOPs.
  • Responsible for providing feedback for internal & external training courses.
  • Adhering to KPIs & keeping PM boards up to date.
  • Unlocking/locking of premises, as required.
  • Perform warehouse operative duties & responsibilities if and when required.

Quality

  • Comply with GDP, GMP, and Quality requirements, as per SOPs and policies.
  • Ensure that ISO9001, ISO 4500, GDP standards, and customer requirements are met at all times. Ensure up-to-date systems and forms are being used.

Health & Safety

  • Be aware of Health & Safety compliance. High visibility vest, safety shoes, and company ID badge must be worn at all times.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in warehouses, offices, and canteens.
  • Ensure that any Health & Safety issues are escalated to management/supervisor.
  • Maintain total confidentiality in all areas concerning client information. No discussion with any client, supplier, or third party regarding another client or supplier's content or information is allowed.
  • Practice housekeeping/clean as you go.
  • Ensure Health & Safety awareness.
  • Adhere to safety requirements as outlined in procedures, Safety Statement, and by law.
  • Building security & alarms.
  • Conduct/Support PAT testing once trained.
  • Conduct/Support Racking Inspections once trained.

Reporting

  • Conduct 1:1 periodic appraisal with direct staff (i.e., instructors).
  • Report issues (raising Investigation Reports).
  • Arrange workload, staff, and overtime if required.
  • Maintain the training database.
  • Issue certificates of competencies for M.H.E training.

Compliance

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. Ensure they are communicated and implemented within the company.
  • Perform weekly Forklift Inspections and upkeep machinery (e.g., topping up batteries with water).
  • Inspect transport units and raise issues with Supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Instructor certificate in training for Counter Balance, Reach Truck, VNA, PPT (desirable).
  • Manual Handling Certificate, Instructor level.
  • Minimum 3 years’ proven instructor experience required.
  • ‘Train the Trainer’ Certificate desirable.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate IT knowledge with excellent data input skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a shift pattern when required.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Proficient in GDP.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 20+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 10 years in the construction engineering industry and 10 years within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership in quality assurance, with experience managing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards relevant to both the construction engineering and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, CQI) is highly desirable.
