We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join a growing manufacturing company in Co. Offaly. As Financial Controller, you will be a key player in the with a primary focus on cost accounting and manufacturing financial management.
Responsibilities:
Cost Accounting Expertise: Lead and manage all aspects of cost accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of costs related to manufacturing processes
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and analyse budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide insights to drive cost efficiencies and profitability
Manufacturing Financial Oversight: Oversee financial aspects of the manufacturing operations, working closely with production teams to optimise cost-effectiveness and resource utilisation
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and trends. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance and manufacturing functions. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Preparation of monthly management account pack, including completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Qualifications:
Accountant Qualification
Proven experience in cost accounting and financial management within a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated, team player
Team management and mentoring experience

Requirements for a successful applicant:
Full clean driving license is essential.

Ultimately self-motivated and able to push through rejection to deliver sales KPIs.
Competitive individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of team.
Excellence in the English Language – written and spoken.
Knowledge of telecommunications industry a plus
Previous door-to-door selling experience advantageous but not essential.
