Credit Controller – Temporary, part time – Cavan

Our client is seeking a temporary Credit Controller to exclusively manage debt collection, maintain the debtors ledger and communicate with customers through phone calls and emails. The successful candidate will work with the SAGE system and will be responsible for ensuring timely payments from customers, resolving payment disputes, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. 
This is a part-time position requiring the candidate to work 3-4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage debt collection and ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer communication and payment status.
  • Resolving customer queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating with customers through phone calls and emails to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Reconciling customer accounts and ensuring that payments are allocated correctly.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in customer accounts.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of customer accounts and progress made in debt recovery efforts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control and debt collection.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Familiarity with SAGE or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in credit control and debt collection.
  • Familiarity with Irish debt collection laws and regulations.

My client is recruiting for Group Tax Accountant on a permanent basis. They are a multi-billion Euro MNC and this position will be based in their Head Quarters in Co. Cavan. This role will report to the Financial Controller, and is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Tax Accountant to join a fast-growing team. 
This is a newly created role and will provide the right candidate with a fantastic opportunity to attain unique experience and skills through leading tax reporting within a growing global business. The candidate will be required to have experience and knowledge of operating finance systems in a multinational business and consolidated accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Group’s international finance teams and a network of tax advisors to ensure that the Group’s corporate tax compliance obligations are satisfied in an effective and efficient manner
  • Responsible for overseeing the reporting of tax provisions as part of the Group’s periodic reporting processes
  • Management of the Group’s tax monthly cash flow forecast
  • Monitor the Group’s tax reporting and payments systems
  • Management of the Group intercompany charges process and IT system
  • Supporting the design and implementation of the Group’s transfer pricing policies
  • Engagement with international tax authorities and Group auditors on transfer pricing matters, e.g. tax audits; reviews; etc
  • Assist with management of the tax audit process and the key stakeholders including the tax authorities, local tax advisors and the companies local finance teams 
  • Maintain Global Tax Audit Tracker for the Group and report out to a periodic basis on the status of Global tax audits
  • Design and implementation of tax efficient profit repatriation strategies
  • Working collaboratively with other Group functions on tax efficient cross border financing arrangements which support the Group’s investment and treasury strategies
  • Working collaboratively with the Group M&A team and its network of advisors on investment appraisals and the completion of tax due diligence and legal workstreams, e.g. SPA review

Experience: 

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (international equivalent) with approx. 4 years PQE coming from a practice or industry
  • Experience & knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP tax accounting principles (ESSENTIAL)
  • Substantial experience working on listed multinational businesses in either a tax, or audit role
  • Fundamental tax knowledge & consolidation reporting 
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced level MS Excel skills
  • Experience using an ERP system such as SAP
  • Preferably coming from one of the Big4/Top10/PLC
