Where You’ll Be Based:

 

  • Cavan – fully on-site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in line with Irish GAAP/IFRS
  • Maintain the general ledger, manage reconciliations and post journal entries
  • Oversee payment processing and ensure vendor terms are met
  • Partner with senior leadership and global finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Serve as the primary finance contact across international departments
  • Manage banking activities and ensure healthy cashflow
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Enhance financial controls and reporting efficiencies
  • Monitor supplier agreements and manage commercial terms
  • Support payroll, AP, and other essential finance functions

What You’ll Bring:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role—multinational or fast-paced environments preferred
  • Strong grasp of Irish accounting and tax regulations
  • Experience with international or multi-entity operations
  • Proficiency in financial systems—SAP and/or Power BI a bonus
  • Familiarity with US GAAP is advantageous

Duties:

  • Support daily operations on the factory floor
  • Work closely with Health & Safety and other departments
  • Help run safety checks, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Support risk assessments and safety reviews

  • Keep records and track safety actions or training
  • Help investigate any incidents and ensure follow-up actions are taken
  • Make sure we meet important safety and quality standards (like ISO 45001 and ISO 14001)

Requirements:

  • A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, or an Engineering background with safety training
  • Strong IT skills – especially Microsoft Office
  • Someone who is comfortable in both the office and on the factory floor
  • Good communicator who can work with people at all levels
  • Organised, reliable, and takes pride in their work
  • Able to work on their own or as part of a team
  • Someone who is proactive and ready to make improvement.

Senior Financial Analyst

We are currently hiring for an experienced Financial Analyst on a permanent basis for our client based in Co.Cavan. The successful candidate will play a key role in reporting critical finance activities including Planning and LBE Process. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and report monthly management accounts and manufacturing dashboards
  • Performance analysis on financial results, identify trends and highlight issues by liaising with department managers on a regular basis .
  • CIP analysis, tracking and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of the annual plan, quarterly LBEs and associated submissions as required
  • Responsible for setting variable and fixed departmental spend budgets
  • Prepare value stream Financial Statements and Flash Reports
  • Provide information to set CIP targets
  • Calculation of Standard and System Costs for the plant and cascading as required.
  • Prepare and issue all reports required by Nutrition Division on a timely basis
  • Prepare monthly updates to Operations Business Plan
  • Detailed knowledge of Corporate accounting standards and worldwide procedures
  • Maintain and implement internal control procedures relevant to areas of responsibility
  • Responsibility for grants claims
  • Business Partner to OPex and support functions
  • Management of RCEs and annual capital budget in conjunction with engineering
  • Support the validation of financial benefits for proposed financial projects
  • Be a value-adding member of the Manufacturing & Multifunctional Business Teams
  • Develop financial awareness of all members in cross-functional teams
  • Continuous Improvement Focus
  • Support and manage any requirements from External and Internal auditors
  • Ensure all accounting and reporting procedures comply with SOX and internal control guidelines
  • Deputise in the absence of the Financial Controller
  • Perform any other duties as required from time to time
  • Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws
  • Indirect Supervision and Co-ordination of the Finance team on behalf of the Controller.

Key Requirements:

  • Accountancy qualification is essential (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • 5 years PQE in a management position in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience suing the system SAP is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent financial analysis skills & strong attention to detail

We are currently hiring for an experienced Management Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract for our client based in Co.Cavan. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established nutrition manufacturing company that can offer career progression opportunities. The successful candidate be responsible for preparing, analysing, and presenting financial data that supports strategic planning and day-to-day management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse material usage for variances relating to Raw Materials and Packing materials.
  • Work with operations teams to review usage variances and corrective actions to improve data accuracy as required.
  • Participate in process improvement teams relating to material usage control and LEAN to drive greater data accuracy and reporting and reduce cost of production.
  • Assist in preparing plans/LBE’s quarterly/yearly and load to external systems and tie out to local records.
  • Ensure relevant monthly reconciliations are prepared and approved.
  • Provide finance support to site in relation to projects, new products etc.
  • Provide detailed BOM analysis for new product launches.
  • Provide full costing analysis for plant expansion opportunities or other RCEs for the site.
  • Track cost changes and scenario differences throughout RCE approval cycle as requested.
  • S&OP review and absorption projections for LBE’s.
  • Ownership of standard cost setting processes and calculation including integration of overheads and development of monthly absorption for plan, and reconciliation to in batch system.
  • Responsible for completion of SCOP, standard to standard and actual to actual analysis, product cost change analysis.
  • Finance Representative for Pier Process, Work with Project Managers on Trial cost estimates, recharging and tracking costs.
  • Finance Representative on NPI (New Product Intro) Team.
  • Work with Operations and Technical Teams on estimating cost improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate and provide data for Internal & External Auditors.
  • Annual Physical Stock-take Co-ordination and Reconciliation for the Site and offsite warehouses.
  • Month end analysis of OCNIS, Distressed Inventory, Overtime/Payroll, Tech Centre costs.
  • Month end journals including MUV, CIP and transfer journal and others as required.
  • Complete month end schedules such as CSO – Payroll, MBR, Overtime, CAR reporting.
  • Prepare performance statements and conduct variance analysis with controller. Load results to external systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Accountancy qualification is essential (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
