Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with insulation installation and floor insulation works.
  • Carrying and moving materials around the construction site.
  • Supporting tradespeople and site supervisors with daily tasks.
  • Preparing work areas and maintaining site cleanliness.
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Adhering to all site health and safety regulations.
  • Performing general labouring and site support duties as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Safe Pass certificate.
  • Valid Manual Handling certificate.
  • Previous construction site or labouring experience.
  • Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding work.

I am currently assisting our client to recruit a General Operative to join their successful and continuous growing team and business located in Co Cavan.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualification in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Minimum 7–10 years' experience in automation design, machine design, or system integration environments.

  • Proven experience delivering complex automation or special-purpose machinery projects from concept through commissioning.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery constraints.

Technical Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of industrial automation systems and machine design principles.

  • Experience working with industrial robotics platforms such as ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or similar.

  • Understanding of motion control, machine vision systems, and material handling technologies.

  • Familiarity with machine safety standards and risk assessment processes.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 62061, and related machinery safety standards.

  • Experience supporting CE marking activities and technical file preparation is advantageous.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Design, Electrical, Controls Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Operations, IT, and external suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive initiatives focused on process optimisation, system reliability, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.

  • Identify opportunities to implement new automation technologies, Industry 4.0 solutions, IoT applications, and data-driven improvements.

Financial & Risk Management

Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within automation engineering environments.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, including team supervision and development.

  • Strong background in commissioning, qualification, and validation of automated systems.

  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as GMP, GAMP 5, FDA, EMA, and ISO standards.

  • Experience managing budgets, resources, suppliers, and project timelines.

Desirable Skills
