ASU Engineer

Osborne Recruitment are currently working with our client who are seeking to hire an ASU Engineer on a full time permanent basis for their site in Leixlip.

  • Job Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Location: Leixlip
  • Salary: €50-60k DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Management of an effective operation and maintenance programme supporting all aspects of production on-site to ensure continuous, reliable, and efficient operation.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to safety by taking the lead and challenging contractors and peers.
  • Manage and support contractor groups on-site by using the permit-to-work system.
  • Using your experience and knowledge to ensure the plant is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Providing troubleshooting and fault-finding to plant issues.
  • Calibrating, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining all aspects of the plant instrumentation and analytical equipment.
  • Develop your knowledge in gas analysers and become a system expert.
  • Completing all routine calibration of all site analysers and recording on SAP.
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the SAP maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure a full stock of spares is in stock at all times to reduce plant downtime (e.g., PLC card, transmitter, probes).
  • Build a strong, reliable network with peers in the Linde teams globally for support.
  • Play a key role in planning and taking part in major plant overhauls.
  • Respond to unplanned outages on plants and utilise your team and subcontractors to return the plant to normal operations in a quick and safe manner.
  • Be part of the on-call rota.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified person with a trades background or hands-on degree-qualified person. If you have an engineering trade and are working towards a degree, we would also like to talk to you.
  • A sound knowledge of contractor control and the permit-to-work system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in complex troubleshooting and fault-finding.
  • Familiar with reading single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation loops.
  • Customer-focused mentality and works to the highest standards.
  • Experience in maintenance across all disciplines: electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical.
  • Willing to continuously develop in your area of expertise.
