Electronics Engineer – Dublin 15

The Electronics Engineer will have 3+ years of experience in developing electronic systems, lab investigations, and manufacturing diagnostics. This role requires full on-site presence.

The Role:

  • Design and develop electronics, including schematic entry, from specification to validation.
  • Maintain and update existing electronics designs.
  • Perform verification, testing, and debugging with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, function generators, spectrum analyser).
  • Create technical documentation (design justification, test procedures, reports).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams (product, automation, mechanical, control) and manufacturing.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure rigorous standards are met.
  • Assist with customer queries and liaise with PCB/PCBA/component suppliers.
  • Desirable: PCB layout for test/production equipment.

Requirements:

  • Experience with analogue electronics (signal conditioning), microcontrollers, and data interfaces (RS-422, RS-485, CAN).
  • Hardware testing experience, including design verification, debugging, and failure analysis.
  • Strong lab test experience and manufacturing support.
  • Ability to write technical documentation (schematics, design reports).
  • Knowledge of IPCX electronic standards.
  • Familiarity with SPICE model simulations.
  • Power supply design knowledge (linear, switched mode, loop compensation).
  • Experience with sensors (especially inertial) and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with electronics design CAD (Cadence OrCAD preferred).
  • Experience with microcontroller and FPGA design.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design practices.
  • Experience with ECSS/MIL standards
