Junior Systems Engineer – Dublin 15

The systems engineer will support the design, testing, and documentation of accelerometers and gyroscopes for projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and skilled in cross-functional collaboration.

The Role:

  • Analyze and review customer requirements.
  • Perform hardware testing at both electronic and system levels.
  • Conduct environmental testing, such as mechanical load, thermal, and EMC tests.
  • Develop test plans and procedures.
  • Contribute to design solutions ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members on product and system design.
  • Coordinate with internal engineers and third-party vendors.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, technical notes, compliance matrices, plans, and reports.
  • Participate in system and subsystem integration and acceptance testing.  
  • Attend meetings and create technical presentations for customer communication.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a systems engineering role.
  • University degree in engineering/physics or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret / analyze electronic schematics.
  • Knowledge of sensor types and their interfaces with electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with analogue and digital electronics and their boundaries.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills.
  • Experience in product/system design and testing.
  • Familiar with test lab environments and instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers).
  • Knowledge of ECSS or experience in aerospace projects is a plus.
  • Willingness to document work for extended periods.
  • Proficient in Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, and C.
  • Experience with system analyses (performance, EMC/ESD, radiation, reliability, worst-case, FMEA/FMECA).
  • CAD knowledge (SolidWorks is a plus).
