Accounts Payable Specialist 

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for our client based in Drogheda! The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional seeking to join a busy Finance team that can offer growth and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger management
  • Monitor Accounts Payable Inbox
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and receipts and verifying approvals using our accounts payable automation tool
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate the weekly & monthly payment runs
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Streamline accounts payable workflows and processes by leveraging the benefits of  automation and efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate with auditors during external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
  • Point of contact for supplier queries
  • Assist the Finance Manager in performing other related tasks if needed

Key Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role is essential
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organisational skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, be self-driven and can work independently and to their own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, and other Office software
  • Experience in ERP system is desirable
