Job Title: Yard Operative

Osborne are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Yard Operative to join a busy and growing agricultural business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional yard. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring agricultural machinery and equipment are presented to a high standard while keeping the yard safe, tidy and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised yard at all times.
- Power wash, clean and valet tractors, trailers, telehandlers and other agricultural machinery.
- Carry out routine housekeeping duties across the yard and workshop areas.
- Move and position machinery and equipment around the yard safely.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required.
- Carry out basic inspections of machinery and report any damage or maintenance issues.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and prepared for use or collection.
- Keep wash bays, storage areas and workspaces clean and well maintained.
- Dispose of waste materials safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the maintenance team with general yard duties as required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a yard, agricultural, construction, manufacturing or similar outdoor environment is desirable.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to undertake physical, hands-on work.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Full, clean driving licence.
