Warehouse Team Leader – Temporary Position

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse during a peak period.

This is a hands-on role that would suit an experienced warehouse operative, senior operative or team leader who is comfortable coordinating staff and ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily picking, packing and dispatch activities
• Allocate tasks to warehouse staff and help keep work on schedule
• Check outgoing orders for accuracy and quality
• Support goods-in, stock replenishment and stock movements
• Carry out stock checks and help maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure the warehouse remains safe, clean and organised
• Assist the team with any day-to-day operational issues
• Provide guidance and support to temporary and permanent warehouse staff

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment
• Some experience leading, supervising or supporting a warehouse team
• Good knowledge of picking, packing, dispatch and stock control
• A practical understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable using warehouse or stock management systems
• A hands-on, reliable and flexible approach

A forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a temporary opportunity and may suit someone looking to build on their existing warehouse experience and gain further team leadership responsibility.
