Warehouse & Stores Manager

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Stores Manager to join a busy and growing business within the agricultural sector.

This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone with strong warehouse experience who enjoys leading a team, maintaining high stock accuracy, and ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently.

As Warehouse & Stores Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse and stores operation. You’ll lead the warehouse team, oversee stock control, coordinate deliveries and collections, and ensure all warehouse activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the warehouse and stores.
  • Lead, support, and develop the warehouse team.
  • Plan daily workloads to ensure customer orders are picked and dispatched on time.
  • Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries accurately.
  • Manage stock levels and carry out regular stock checks.
  • Ensure all stock movements are recorded correctly.
  • Check machinery before dispatch.
  • Coordinate daily deliveries and collections with transport providers.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and operating to a high standard.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

Skills:

  • Strong experience managing a warehouse or stores operation.
  • A background in agriculture, agricultural machinery, engineering, or a similar industry.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience with stock control and inventory management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Good IT skills.
  • A valid forklift licence is essential.
