Receptionist & Administrative Assistant (Temporary – 6 Month Contract)

Location: Citywest, Dublin 24
Salary: €19 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (On-site)

Osborne Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading public sector organisation to recruit a Receptionist & Administrative Assistant for a temporary six-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a busy office environment and delivering exceptional front-of-house service.

As the first point of contact for visitors, staff and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience while providing administrative support across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional and friendly reception service, welcoming visitors and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, emails and correspondence efficiently
  • Maintain reception and meeting room areas to a high standard
  • Coordinate visitor access while adhering to security and health & safety procedures
  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments
  • Process purchase orders, invoices and general administrative documentation
  • Scan, file and maintain both electronic and hard-copy records
  • Manage office supplies and stationery, including stock control and ordering
  • Assist with organising meetings, bookings and internal events
  • Prepare reports, correspondence and documentation as required
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full Category B driving licence valid in Ireland and own transport is ESSENTIAL
  • 2+ years’ experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, customer service or administrative role is ESSENTIAL
  • A Leaving Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience managing telephone and email enquiries in a professional environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
