Osborne Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in County Louth for an experienced and technically minded Part-Time Technical Support & Office Admin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in technical support, systems administration, troubleshooting and client support who enjoys investigating issues, finding practical solutions and providing a high level of technical assistance.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting both clients and internal users, ensuring technical queries are handled efficiently and followed through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to clients and internal users by phone, email and other support channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating more complex matters where required.
- Investigate technical problems methodically, identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Manage and monitor support requests, ensuring issues are tracked and followed through to resolution.
- Assist with user access, system setup, configuration and general IT support.
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions and system changes.
- Liaise with external IT providers and technical partners when required.
- Provide guidance and basic training to users on systems, software and processes.
- Assist with system testing, updates and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintain a high standard of client service while managing multiple technical queries and priorities.
- Support the ongoing improvement of systems, processes and technical support procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical support, IT support, helpdesk or systems-focused role is essential.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of business software, systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience providing technical support to users by phone, email or in person.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage multiple support requests.
- Experience with accounting, CRM, ERP or other business management systems would be advantageous.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications would be beneficial but are not essential where strong practical experience is demonstrated.
