Recruiter — Fixed-Term Contract (Paternity Leave Cover)
Location: Canary Wharf, London (3 days per week on site)
Contract: Full-time, 3-month fixed-term contract (paternity leave cover)
Reports to: Head of Recruitment, London
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruiter for a 3-month fixed-term basis, covering a period of paternity leave. There will be a handover and overlap period with the current recruiter to ensure a smooth transition and continuity across live roles. You will take ownership of an active pipeline of vacancies — around 20 roles are open globally at present, of which you will personally manage between 5 and 10 at any one time. These are predominantly technology positions, including Technical Project/Programme Managers, with base salaries ranging from £80,000 to £200,000. A number of these searches are confidential and will require discretion and careful stakeholder handling. You will also support hiring into international offices. This is a true end-to-end recruitment role: you will manage the full lifecycle from role approval through to offer approval, working closely with hiring managers, senior stakeholders and external search firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a live pipeline of c. 5–10 requisitions across technology and related functions, ensuring momentum is maintained on all roles inherited at handover
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: role approval, briefing, sourcing strategy, candidate management, interview coordination, offer construction and offer approval
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership across multiple time zones, to understand requirements and advise on market conditions
- Manage relationships with external search firms and agencies, including briefing, performance management and candidate flow
- Handle confidential and sensitive searches with the highest level of discretion
- Support hiring for the international offices, coordinating across time zones and working with local stakeholders
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across all roles to ensure a clean handover at the end of the contract
What We’re Looking For
- Proven in-house recruitment experience, ideally within a technology firm, fintech or financial services environment
- Demonstrable experience recruiting technology roles, including Technical Project Managers or similar positions
- Comfortable managing a busy pipeline of multiple concurrent requisitions at varying levels of seniority
- Experience running the full recruitment process end to end, including role and offer approvals
- Experience managing external search firms and agency relationships
- Exposure to international hiring, ideally including India and/or the US
- Discreet and professional, with experience handling confidential searches
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time, making the most of the handover period
- Available to work on site in Canary Wharf three days per week
Contract Details
- 3-month fixed-term contract covering paternity leave, with an overlap/handover period at the start
- Full-time, hybrid working: 3 days on site in Canary Wharf, 2 days remote
- Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
