Finishing Foreman

We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join our client’s team on projects across the Greater Dublin Area. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering excellent career progression and the chance to work on technically challenging, high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all finishing trades to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring efficient sequencing and productivity of finishing activities.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor daily and weekly work programmes in line with the overall project schedule.
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain efficient site operations.
  • Inspect finishing works to ensure compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Identify, manage, and close out defects and snagging items in a timely manner.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all site safety procedures.
  • Order, monitor, and manage materials to ensure continuity of works and minimise delays.
  • Manage labour, plant, and site resources efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, manpower returns, and quality documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Finishing Foreman, Finishing Site Manager, or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of finishing trades, construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a recognised trade is desirable.
