Senior Interview Transcriptionist

Location: Home Based – Ireland
Salary: €35,000–€40,000 DOE

Are you an experienced transcriptionist with an exceptional ear for detail?

We’re looking for a Senior Interview Transcriptionist to join an established Irish-owned professional transcription team. This is a specialist role working primarily on HR interviews, workplace investigations and professional interviews, where accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail are essential.

This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys detailed work, can concentrate for long periods and takes pride in producing exceptionally accurate transcripts.

What you’ll be doing

• Transcribing interviews accurately from audio recordings
• Working with multiple speakers, accents and different speaking styles
• Producing transcripts to a minimum 99.9% accuracy standard
• Correctly identifying and labelling speakers
• Ensuring excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting
• Researching unfamiliar names, terminology and organisations where required
• Reviewing and proofreading your work before submission
• Working to agreed turnaround times and daily workloads
• Following established quality, formatting and confidentiality procedures
• Handling highly sensitive HR and workplace investigation material with complete discretion

What we’re looking for

• Significant professional transcription experience
• Previous experience transcribing interviews with multiple speakers
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills
• The ability to understand a wide range of Irish and international accents
• Exceptional written English, spelling and grammar
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Strong concentration and the ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and reliability
• Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
• A professional and disciplined approach to home working

Experience in HR, legal, workplace investigations, journalism or similar professional transcription would be highly advantageous.

Important to know

This is not a general typing or data-entry role.

The ability to accurately interpret spoken English is fundamental, and candidates must be capable of consistently achieving the required 99.9% accuracy standard.

Although the position is home-based, it is a full-time role working set Monday–Friday office hours. You will need a reliable home-working environment and the ability to maintain consistent working hours.
