Senior Agricultural Technician
Location: Midlands, Ireland
Salary: €55,000–€57,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Agricultural Mechanic to join our growing service team at a leading agricultural machinery dealership in the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician to work with industry-leading agricultural equipment in a modern, fully equipped workshop, supported by the latest electronic diagnostic technology and manufacturer training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and repair tractors, telehandlers and agricultural machinery.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer procedures.
- Accurately complete job cards, service reports and warranty documentation.
- Prepare new machinery for customer handover and carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) where required.
- Attend on-site customer breakdowns and repairs when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices where appropriate.
- Ensure all workshop tools, equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the dealership professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as an Agricultural Mechanic or Agricultural Service Technician.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing modern agricultural machinery.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, PTO systems and electrical/electronic control systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic software and service tools.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical qualification.
- Manufacturer training or experience with New Holland, Case IH or other leading agricultural machinery brands.
- Experience with GPS guidance systems and precision farming technology.
- Forklift licence (advantageous).
