Location: Bray, Co. Wicklow
Salary: €70,000–€75,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Bray. This is a hands-on role offering responsibility across the full finance function, supporting both the Irish and UK operations. You will work closely with senior management, providing accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
- Produce weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor cash position.
- Complete monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Prepare and submit VAT, VIES, Intrastat and PAYE returns for multiple entities.
- Oversee fixed asset registers, accruals and prepayments.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Review financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls, policies and reporting processes.
- Support and mentor the finance team, providing guidance where required.
- Work closely with senior management on financial analysis and strategic projects.
- Assist with insurance renewals and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial accounting role.
- Strong experience preparing full management accounts.
- Excellent knowledge of month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Experience with VAT, VIES, Intrastat and PAYE returns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP or accounting systems.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English with a valid Irish work visa.
