Sales Manager

Our manufacturing client based in Wicklow is seeking a dedicated and driven Sales Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, taking ownership of key customer relationships and driving new business development. Covering all 32 counties with occasional travel to the UK, you’ll play a key role in delivering the company’s commercial strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and driving sustainable sales growth while working closely with colleagues across Ireland and the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Ireland Account Management team.
  • Monitor, report on, and drive KPI performance.
  • Improve commercial margins across the Irish business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Work with internal teams to deliver strategic sales plans.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximise profitability.
  • Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Oversee customer contracts, resolve commercial issues, and ensure excellent service.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with UK colleagues to maximise cross-group opportunities.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety procedures.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements
  • 5+ years’ proven B2B sales experience.
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ireland with occasional UK travel.
  • Strong track record of generating new business and managing key accounts.
  • Results-driven with experience working to sales targets and KPIs.
  • Manufacturing or industrial sector experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Commercial awareness with experience in pricing and margin management.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
