Production / Assembly Administrator

We at Osborne are recruiting for a Production / Assembly Administrator role on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join a busy production environment, providing essential administrative support across the Production and Assembly departments.

About the Role

As a Production / Assembly Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring production information, component movements, subcontractor deliveries, and project documentation are accurately recorded and maintained. Working closely with Production, Assembly, and Yard teams, you will help ensure materials and information are tracked efficiently and available when required to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Production and Assembly departments.
  • Record incoming subcontractor components and update the Master Tracker accordingly.
  • Identify and report shortages, discrepancies, incorrect quantities, or missing components.
  • Maintain accurate records of subcontractor deliveries and ensure all documentation is properly filed and traceable.
  • Prepare and print project labels for current Production and Assembly projects.
  • Create and maintain QR codes for new projects, ensuring correct documentation and information are linked.
  • Support the preparation, printing, and organisation of production documentation and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure Production and Assembly teams have access to the most up-to-date project information.
  • Assist with production reporting, data entry, document control, and general administrative duties.
  • Adhere to company procedures and Health & Safety requirements within the production environment.

Requirements

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and identify relevant components and project information.
  • Strong checking and verification skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional standard of English.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, discrepancies, and missing information.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong team player capable of building effective relationships across departments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Experience in production administration, material tracking, or manufacturing documentation is advantageous.
