- Responsibilities
- Prepare, compile, and submit accurate, detailed, and timely tender submissions for construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and other tender documentation to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
- Support the delivery of profitable work orders through effective cost analysis and tender management.
- Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of tendering systems, procedures, and processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contractual changes, market conditions, and developments within the construction industry.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams while also managing responsibilities independently and using initiative.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in an estimating or estimating/QS role within the construction industry.
- Third-level qualification.
- Strong understanding of construction tendering processes, contracts, and cost management.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
