About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and support the delivery of enterprise IT services within a large and complex organisation. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing infrastructure operations, driving technology improvements, and ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing IT systems.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s technology strategy while overseeing day-to-day infrastructure operations and service delivery.

Salary – 63k/yr with Public sector benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the organisation’s IT infrastructure strategy.
• Manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability
• Oversee core ICT services including networking, firewalls, telephony, collaboration platforms, desktop environments, and end-user support.
• Ensure the effective deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of enterprise technology platforms.
• Maintain robust cybersecurity controls, backup solutions, disaster recovery processes, and threat monitoring capabilities.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and operational issues.
• Identify opportunities for service improvements and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Support IT projects and organisational change initiatives as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

Third-level qualification (Level 8 or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is Must.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, or IT Operations role.
• Previous experience managing and developing technical teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics, and AWS.
  • Network infrastructure including switching, routing, and LAN technologies.
  • Microsoft and Linux server administration, virtualisation, and security.
  • Database administration including SQL Server, Oracle, and CRM platforms.
  • Experience supporting end-users and managing IT service delivery.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers, consultants, and technology vendors.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based collaboration and communication platforms is desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience delivering technology transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection requirements.
• Knowledge of remote access technologies and enterprise connectivity solutions.
• Understanding of procurement and vendor management processes.
• Experience supporting IT integration projects is advantageous.
