Job Description

Inventory Technician

We are looking for an Inventory Technician to support the effective management of engineering spares, inventory and procurement with our client. You will work closely with Stores, Procurement and Maintenance teams to ensure materials are available when required, while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.


For You:

Salary: €32,000–€35,000 DOE

Type: Full-time, permanent

Location: South Dublin, with parking

Bonus: Performance and KPI-based bonus (pro rata)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (40 hours)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Stores processes, procedures and standards.
  • Inspect and receipt incoming goods and manage non-conforming products.
  • Manage inter-store transfers to improve stock turnover and reduce aged stock.
  • Reserve and kit spares for planned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain engineering spare Material Masters in SAP.
  • Monitor stock levels and purchase orders to minimise stock-outs.
  • Carry out stock movement analysis, cycle counts and ABC analysis.
  • Conduct supplier pricing and lead-time analysis.
  • Manage procurement of materials and services and maintain accurate records.
  • Support Maintenance teams with repair programme management.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across site performance.
  • Maintain high 5S standards within the Stores environment.
  • Support standardisation of spare components for capital projects.
  • Promote a safe, professional and customer-focused working environment.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement, stores, inventory or materials management.
  • Experience resolving supply issues and expediting materials to avoid stock-outs.
  • Strong understanding of Stores, Quality and Environmental systems.
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, Microsoft Office or similar CMMS systems.
  • Understanding of how materials management supports planned maintenance.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive approach with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
