Job Description

Inventory & Stock Control Manager

At Osborne we are currently recruiting for an Inventory & Stock Manager to manage inventory operations across fresh, frozen, and retail products within a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring product availability, managing stock movements across multiple locations, and driving continuous improvements in inventory processes. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact on operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory across multiple locations, including external warehouses.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory integrity.
  • Coordinate incoming stock, storage capacity, and stock flow.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound stock movements.
  • Monitor stock rotation and identify products nearing expiry.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process stock adjustments, returns, and disposals accurately.
  • Coordinate stock transfers with warehouse and transport teams.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure stock availability and product quality.
  • Lead annual stocktakes and support continuous process improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance on stock control procedures where required.

About You

  • Previous experience in inventory, stock control, or supply chain management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory systems and Microsoft Excel (testing may form part of the recruitment process).
  • Experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Fluent English (minimum C1 level).
  • Valid permission to work in Ireland.
