HR Business Partner
Salary: €50,000 – €80,000 per annum
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Location: Dublin 22
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and service-focused HR Business Partner to join a busy and growing HR function. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive HR professional who enjoys combining high-quality HR administration with hands-on support to employees and managers.
Working as part of an experienced HR team, you will play a key role in delivering an effective, accurate and employee-focused HR service across the full employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and internal stakeholders, providing practical HR guidance while ensuring processes are delivered consistently and in line with company policies, data protection requirements and Irish employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Service Delivery
- Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing timely and practical HR advice and support.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and people processes, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Work closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Reward and other internal stakeholders to deliver an effective HR service.
- Support the development of a positive, inclusive and engaging workplace culture.
Employee Lifecycle
- Manage day-to-day HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
- Prepare and review employment contracts and supporting documentation for new hires.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks and onboarding activities.
- Manage absence and leave processes, monitoring systems and resolving queries.
- Manage employee departures and ensure all offboarding activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Support probation, performance review and other employee development processes.
- Assist with HR communications, initiatives and employee engagement activities.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems.
- Ensure employee information is handled securely and in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Produce HR reports, letters and employee information for management, payroll and wider HR purposes.
- Support data validation and reporting requirements.
HR Compliance & Governance
- Maintain a strong understanding of company policies and Irish employment legislation.
- Ensure HR processes are carried out consistently and in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and preparing relevant documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in HR controls, processes and data quality.
Payroll, Benefits & Reward
- Prepare and review payroll inputs, ensuring information is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
- Administer employee benefits and support job, salary and compensation changes.
- Ensure relevant documentation and employee communications are completed accurately.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support the delivery of HR projects and organisational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and employee experience.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve efficiency, compliance and overall HR service delivery.
About You
We are looking for an HR professional who is confident working across a broad range of HR activities and enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment.
You will ideally have:
- 3+ years’ experience in HR administration, HR advisory or a similar HR role.
- Strong practical knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and HR best practice.
- Experience working within a busy, multi-site HR environment.
- A good working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience using a modern HRIS.
- Experience producing HR reports and working with employee data.
- UK employment legislation and/or European HR experience would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline is essential.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR accreditation is desirable.
