HR GENERALIST
Full-Time | Permanent | South Dublin
Osborne Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a busy and established Human Resources team based in South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take responsibility for providing comprehensive HR support across a number of locations, working closely with management and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.
The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager and will play a key role in delivering day-to-day HR operations while supporting employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, reporting, training and wider HR projects.
The Role
As HR Generalist, you will act as the primary HR point of contact for your allocated locations, providing practical and professional HR advice and support to managers and employees.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day HR activities across assigned locations.
- Providing HR guidance and support to management and employees.
- Supporting employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Advising managers on attendance, conduct, performance and workplace issues.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records and documentation.
- Supporting recruitment activities including CV screening, shortlisting, interview coordination, reference checking and pre-employment documentation.
- Coordinating and supporting onboarding and induction processes.
- Assisting with recruitment events, open days and job fairs in Ireland and occasionally elsewhere in the EU.
- Managing HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers, transfers, contractual changes, salary changes and exit interviews.
- Supporting work permit and visa-related administration.
- Preparing weekly and monthly HR reports and statistics.
- Monitoring HR metrics including absenteeism, recruitment, attendance, onboarding and training activity.
- Working closely with Payroll to ensure employee changes and information are communicated accurately and on time.
- Supporting HR compliance, audit preparation and GDPR requirements.
- Assisting with the delivery of HR-related training and people development initiatives.
- Supporting the implementation of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working collaboratively with the wider HR team, management and other departments.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
- A strong understanding of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience dealing with employee relations matters.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Experience working with HR data, reports and workforce information.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with managers and employees.
- A professional, practical and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience within healthcare, nursing homes, residential care or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
Location & Travel
The role is based in South Dublin, with one day per week based in Head Office in Blanchardstown Corporate Park.
Travel between assigned locations will form part of the role, with occasional travel within Ireland and potentially to other EU locations in connection with recruitment activity.
