Hire Controller – Dublin

Osborne Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Hire Controller to join a dynamic and customer-focused team based in Dublin.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and manage hire bookings efficiently.
• Prepare and issue quotations while maximizing sales opportunities.
• Coordinate equipment availability, deliveries, collections, and cross-hire requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure all hire agreements and records are accurately maintained within the company’s hire management system.
• Provide support at the trade counter and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a hire desk, plant hire, equipment rental, builders’ merchants, or construction-related environment.
• Strong customer service and account management skills.
• Good knowledge of plant machinery, tools, powered access equipment, or construction products.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative while contributing effectively within a busy team.
• A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.
