Lead HSE Advisor – Dublin

Osborne Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in the construction sector to recruit an experienced Lead HSE Advisor to join their team in Dublin. As Lead HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting and embedding a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture. You will work closely with site management, employees and subcontractors to ensure high standards of compliance, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and embed a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture, with a strong focus on preventative actions, reducing injuries and promoting environmentally responsible site operations.
- Ensure employees and subcontractors remain fully compliant with all relevant Health, Safety and Workplace legislation.
- Communicate HSE requirements clearly through procedures, safety bulletins, training, mentoring, coaching and verbal guidance.
- Conduct root cause analysis following accidents and incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and lead accident and dangerous occurrence investigations.
- Maintain and monitor the Accident and Dangerous Occurrence Register.
- Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and Safe Plans of Action (SPA).
- Liaise with Site Managers to ensure all HSE documentation is accurate, complete and up to date.
- Attend whiteboard meetings and deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings.
- Chair project safety meetings and support effective communication of HSE objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally gained within a main contractor or specialist contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Workplace legislation.
- Proven ability to influence change and champion best practice.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation.
