Sales Operations Specialist

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Sales Operations Specialist to join their team based in Limerick. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role responsible for driving sales operations, commercial performance, pricing strategy, customer management, and business intelligence.

The successful candidate will lead a small Sales Operations team while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to optimise sales performance and support strategic business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies to maximise profitability and achieve commercial objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the Sales Operations support team, ensuring high performance and timely delivery of key activities.
  • Monitor pricing, profitability, and commercial performance, providing actionable recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and development initiatives while maintaining high standards of customer data quality and segmentation.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop customer segmentation, sales planning, contact strategies, and territory optimisation.
  • Produce accurate sales performance reporting and business insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee sales targets, forecasting, and performance monitoring across the organisation.
  • Manage sales compensation frameworks, incentive schemes, and governance processes to support business objectives.
  • Optimise sales territories and resource allocation using data analytics and mapping tools.
  • Ensure sales processes, systems, and operational procedures are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and commercial growth.
  • Lead analytical projects, interpreting complex sales and customer data to deliver practical business solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Sales Operations, Sales Leadership, Commercial Operations, Customer Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence business strategy and drive measurable results.
  • Demonstrated experience managing pricing strategies, profitability, and commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of sales planning, customer segmentation, territory management, and sales process optimisation.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to convert data into meaningful commercial insights.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on results.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is desirable; equivalent experience will also be considered.
