Job Title: Group HR Generalist
Location: Slane, Meath/ Dublin 12
Salary: €50,000

Role Summary
The HR Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle with a primary focus on employee relations and talent acquisition/recruitment. This role is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture through effective employee engagement and employee relations practices, while managing end-to-end hiring processes. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring HR policies and practices are applied consistently. Travel will be required across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Support the HR Director and wider HR team as a point of contact for HR-related queries.
  • Support and manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues.
  • Provide guidance to managers on HR best practice and employment law compliance.
  • Assist in conducting investigations and ensure fair, consistent outcomes.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and effective communication.
  • Support conflict resolution and mediation between employees and managers where required.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist with end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles.
  • Coordinate interviews and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Utilise multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and recruitment agencies, to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Analyse recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality of hire) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • HR Operations & Generalist Duties

Support the HR function by:

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting HR operations, onboarding, and induction programmes to ensure a smooth employee experience.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Contributing to employee engagement surveys and action planning.
  • Supporting performance management processes, including reviews and development plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Carrying out any other duties as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant HR experience.
  • Strong experience handling employee relations matters.
  • Good understanding of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of European employment law would be an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualification (or currently working towards one) is preferred.
