General Operatives / Pickers

Location: Belview Port Facility, Waterford
Pay Rate: €15 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary (4 – 5 days’ work)
Start Date: 20th of July
Team Size: Up to 12 positions available

About the Role

This is a temporary, hands-on role assisting a team of consultants in manually
separating waste materials for further processing. The work is physically
demanding and unpleasant, involving direct handling of mixed waste streams. You
will be provided with full PPE and on-the-job training.

Ideal for individuals who are:

Physically fit

Comfortable with dirty, high-exposure environments

Able to follow instructions and work safely in a team

Key Responsibilities

Manually sort through waste materials under consultant supervision

Separate recyclable or specific materials from mixed waste streams

Work safely in accordance with site health & safety procedures

Follow instructions and contribute to a fast-paced team effort

Requirements:

Basic level of English (required for Health & Safety induction)

Willingness to work in a physically tough and unpleasant environment

Ability to follow safety protocols and team instructions

Reliable and punctual

Important Notes:

This is short-term work (4 – 5 days) expected to take place in July starting the week of July 20th.

English doesn’t need to be a first language by any means but need to understand instructions clearly in order to separate waste
