Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a General Operative to join their established team based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment.

For you:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Salary: €36,000

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fabricate products and associated components to a high standard.
  • Operate hand tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently (training provided where required).
  • Manufacture support frames, brackets, clamps, and other fabricated items in accordance with engineering specifications.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
  • Identify and report any manufacturing or assembly issues to the engineering team.
  • Assist with the packing, handling, storage, and preparation of finished goods for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete any required production documentation.
  • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of workshop equipment and company vehicles as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Provide general support across engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse operations as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction or workshop environment.
  • Good experience using hand tools and workshop equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings or work instructions is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
  • A full driving licence.
