We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a General Operative to join their established team based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
For you:
- Monday – Friday
- Salary: €36,000
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fabricate products and associated components to a high standard.
- Operate hand tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently (training provided where required).
- Manufacture support frames, brackets, clamps, and other fabricated items in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Identify and report any manufacturing or assembly issues to the engineering team.
- Assist with the packing, handling, storage, and preparation of finished goods for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records and complete any required production documentation.
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of workshop equipment and company vehicles as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Provide general support across engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse operations as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction or workshop environment.
- Good experience using hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings or work instructions is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- A full driving licence.
