Freight Forwarder – Cork

Location: Cork
Salary: €35,000–€50,000 DOE
Position: Permanent, Full-Time, On-Site

We are currently recruiting an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a well established logistics business in Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Road and/or Ocean Freight experience, ideally with hands-on customs clearance knowledge, who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish and delivering a high level of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Road Freight operations across Europe
• Coordinate collections, deliveries and customs documentation
• Process import and export bookings for sea freight shipments
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, suppliers and customers
• Track shipments from booking through to delivery
• Prepare and monitor quotations
• Process shipment documentation and customer invoicing
• Ensure compliance with customs, transport and company procedures
• Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
• Deliver a high standard of customer service
• Support junior team members where required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ Freight Forwarding experience
• Experience across Road and/or Ocean Freight
• Customs clearance experience essential
• Strong knowledge of freight documentation and customs procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
• Commercially minded with good negotiation skills
